The Dubai of my Dreams

Time in Dubai was literally like –

Oochi hai building! Because it’s Dubai Habibi!

Aaj main upar… aasma neeche..! The view from the top of the world’s tallest building – The Burj Khalifa, is simply amazing!

Shop till you drop! Because it’s one of the shopping capitals of the world! And yes, you just can’t get enough of it!

This man-made paradise has things which you have never seen, places which you’ve only dreamt of and food you’ve only heard of. This blog talks about the places we visited, and the things we did during our time in Dubai.

Places we visited and things we did –

The Burj Khalifa – At The Top

The Burj Khalifa will make you feel on top of the world. Seeing this beauty standing tall in the sky, your eyes lit up with hope and joy. You’ll feel a sudden rush of happiness that will keep you staring at this wonder for long. When we went to the top, the views from the observation deck were truly stunning and mesmerising to our eyes. The height of Level 124 is same as that of the tip of The Petronas Towers, Malaysia (woah!!).
At Levels 124 & 125, there is an observation deck with high powered telescopes, to get breathtaking views of the world. You can also go to the level above breathtaking, which is Burj Khalifa SKY (Level 148), where you can enjoy a personalised tour, guided by a Guest Ambassador.
The view from the top is worth every penny spent and a not to miss attraction in Dubai.

Dhow Cruise

Imagine yourself sitting on the roof of a Dhow cruise sipping on your beverages and enjoying the ever-growing skyline of Dubai. Doesn’t this sound too good to be true? But yes, this is the kind of experience we had when we were on the cruise. It’s a two-hour long sail enjoying the cityscape of Dubai. The Dhow cruise has a lot of activities planned, such as the Tanoura show and magic show and ending it with a lavish spread of Arabic buffet. So when in Dubai, just be ready to sail!

Dubai Desert Safari

The Dune Bashing experience was simply amazing making it an unmissable adventure in Dubai! From a bus, you are transferred in a 4×4 Land Cruiser which bounces up and down the golden sands with exhilarating speeds, sometimes leaving your heart skip a beat!
We opted for the evening safari where it makes the experience even more beautiful with the stunning views of the desert and the sun setting down. The climate in the evening becomes chiller as compared to the day, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. After Dune Bashing, they take you to the camp inside the desert, where they have fun activities planned for you, like – Tanoura Show, belly dance, fire show, heena drawing & sheesha (payable) and ending your evening with a lavish barbeque dinner.
P.S – Your Dubai trip is incomplete without Dubai Desert Safari. So, if you happen to be there sooner or later, don’t forget to add this to your itinerary.

The Dubai Mall

Explore. Eat. Shop. Take pictures. Repeat. This is what you’ll do when you go to Dubai Mall. This place will make you walk till you drop and a day won’t be enough to cover all the things this mall has to offer. From one of the largest suspended aquariums in the world to the Dubai Ice Rink, get stunned by the Human Waterfall inside the mall or get mesmerized by the beautifully decorated sections inside the mall. There are many things to do, but 24 hours won’t be enough! So, plan your day accordingly and do pay a visit to this mall.

The Dubai Fountain

An enthralling water, music and light spectacle in Dubai! The Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest choreographed fountain and we bet, you will just not want to take your eyes off it.
The Dubai Fountain show starts at 6 in the evening to 11 in the night and is every half hourly. Every 30 mins, different music is played and the fountain is also choreographed differently. This makes you watch the show as many times as you want and you surely cannot miss it!

Dubai Water Canal

The Dubai water Canal has an approximate stretch of 3.2 kms and a walk alongside this water stretch was our walk to remember! The Dubai Water Canal gives a splendid view of the cityscape, giving you a picture perfect frame for your next best shot. This is one of the lesser known attractions of Dubai, and you should definitely pay a visit to this place to enjoy a quiet and peaceful time with your loved one.

Aquaventure & Atlantis The Palm

Situated at the Atlantis, The Palm, this waterpark is not for the faint-hearted. Each slide will make your heart stop, especially with their daring slides such as “The Leap of Faith” & “The Poseidon’s revenge” which has a deadly drop. There is more to explore at every curve, with the slide going in an aquarium full of Sharks in the “Shark Attack”, to the 1.6 KM long river ride that promises excitement at every turn with the ‘Rapids’. After a day full of adrenaline rush, we enjoyed a quiet and peaceful evening walk opposite the nicely lit up Atlantis and the waves gushing to the shore.
