The search for a good café is never-ending. Every second day a new café pops up in the city but nothing really catches one’s eye apart from gaining few likes for such Instagram friendly places.
Well, this weekend turned out a bit unusual for me as I finally found the “perfect café” to not only chill with friends but also have some really good food! This café has a different vibe to it because it’s elegant, chic and at the same time homely! It’s worth every penny as they serve you scrumptious meal which leaves you craving for more!
The primary reason why I would like to kick-start my day at a café is to only to get my drug – Caffeine! While I’m no coffee snob but I do love my latte and tend to get extremely moody if I don’t get one.
Food
They have quite a neat menu with clear categories and really friendly staff who will guide you through it and help you select the best dishes according to your taste or mood.
We had –
Shakshouka – Daily Dose Style
For those who aren’t aware of this dish, this savoury egg sensation, Shakshouka is a dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chilli peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin and true to Middle Eastern flavours. It is definitely on top of the favorite egg dishes. And these guys are simply amazing when it comes to making a perfect Shakshouka, they also make it in Indian style if you want to try something different!
Croissant- Egg Benedict Style with Mushroom
This simple dish of buttery croissants stuffed with eggs was one of the key dishes to this classic brunch! It simply did magic to my taste buds and a must try at this café.
Pasta- Cremosa Arbiata
Yearning for an indulgent Italian delicacy, this White Sauce Pasta is a perfect melange of flavours and creamy pasta. This creamy Italian pasta with crispy prawns added magic to the palate!
Spanish Latte
This thick creamy latte from Spain simply stole the show for me with its consistency and taste!
Red Velvet Iced Coffee
Clearly, if there was ever a time to have a fancy coffee, its right now and at this very café! This would be my second favourite coffee!
V60 Brewed Coffee
Perfection doesn’t always come in a shiny electronic gadget. Sometimes the simplest tools are better than the most complex machines! The V60 has become increasingly popular in recent years. This coffee delivered incredibly clear flavours and aromas and I would definitely recommend it.
Lotus Pancake
Pancakes can be quite versatile and lotus pancakes were something I tried for the first time. If you have a sweet tooth, then this dish is made for you. The pancakes were fluffy, warm and perfectly sweetened to suit a dessert lover’s taste buds.
Overall it was an amazing experience and Jumeirah is the place with beautiful cafes and this is definitely one of them.
